IOC President Jacques Rogge will meet with USOC leaders next month during the Winter Olympics to improve relations between the two organizations. In the wake of Chicago’s failed bid for the 2016 Olympics, Rogge hopes to improve ties and bring the USOC back into the international fold. Rogge says “there is a lot of good will on both sides” and is encouraged by signs the USOC wants to “engage better” in international activities. Rogge tells the Associated Press that he has arranged a meeting with USOC chair Larry Probst and new CEO Scott Blackun in Vancouver either before or after the Winter Games which run Feb. 12-28.
