What are the odds of a white Christmas in Chicago? Historically, the answer is about 38-40% But this year? Forecasters say it’s about 50% A winter storm could bring snow to the area on Christmas eve 2009. By the way, the Christmas Day with the most snow on the ground in recorded history was 1951 when Midway Airport had 17 inches. Aurora recorded 31 inches, which is the most snow any long-term site in Illinois has ever reported on the ground on December 25.Read more about white Christmases here.

Just a few inches of snow, no more please and, no ice either…..I don’t like riding in car or walking on ice or snow..way too nerve wracking…beautiful to watch out your windows though.
