Top message in the Bears locker room Thursday…

Top message in the Bears locker room Thursday: Do not under any circumstance overlook the Cleveland Browns.
“When you are looking at the game film you don’t see a whole lot of up and down the field by offenses,” according to Bears tight end Desmond Clark. “We got to be able to take advantage of whenever they give us a crack to go ahead and bust it open because a lot of times there is not a whole lot of cracks there.”
The numbers tell a different story. Cleveland gives up a lot of big plays and 244 passing yards-per-game. They are last in the league allowing six-yards on average on every snap.
Not since Detroit, have the Bears sacked the quarterback after getting 14 in the first four games. Alex Brown thinks the pass rush should return this week, but he also gives high marks to the Browns offensive line.
“This offensive line is probably the best offensive line we’ve played,” said Brown. “They’re very good. Their record does not say how good their offensive line is. They’re left tackle(Joe Thomas) is probably top three in the league. He’s really good.”
Needing a win in a bad way, respecting the Browns despite their one-and-six record is a good first step for the Bears.
Thursday Practice Review: Browns week

  • Defensive tackle Matt Toeaina(calf) missed another practice.
  • Linebacker Lance Briggs(shoulder), defensive tackle Israel Idonije(knee), safety Danieal Manning(foot), running back Adrian Peterson(knee) were limited.
  • Lance Briggs still believes in defensive tackle Tommie Harris: “Tommie on the field makes us a much better team. He’s a disruptive force. A healthy Tommie Harris is the best defensive lineman in the game…the best inside guy.”Adewale Ogunleye does not have a good feel for Harris at this point. “I just don’t really a good gauge for what’s going on. I know he’s going out there and practicing. He’s trying to get right and I think he’s just waiting for that breakthrough game.”

I mean in the pass the Bears’ are renowned for Put up or Shut up as far as Coaching goes. Why has this Lovie/Turner nightmare been allowed to continue. I am 30yrs long time Bears’ living in the Heart of one of their oldest rivals in NJ(Giants). I had to watch as the Bears loss the SB then Giants go on to win it the following year. Bears have never been to one to allow a only 2 out of 6 winning season why start now. Angelo has sign a Superbowl calibrate team Pro Bowl QB & WR plus several Pro Bowl Defensive player. Lovie has shown his play calling isn’t reliable I mean he did the 2nd half of the Superbowl and look what that got them. I thought Chicago was simpler in way to NY. People camp out at the office and stadium to see the head fired. He brought them a SuperBowl to change they minds. Although I hate the NY Giants with every drop of my Bears’ blood I got to give them credit they are true FANS and Lover of their team. I guess so many in Chicago have become willingly acceptance of losing that it doesn’t matter to them any more.
