Race for the Rings: Landmarks & Parks

Chicago’s Olympic blueprint targets historic buildings and impacts too many of the city’s parks, opponents claimed Friday, one week before the International Olympic Committee chooses the host city for the 2016 Summer Games. Activists and concerned citizens alike told Newsradio 780 — as part of our Race for the Rings series — they feel helpless to stop the plan and hoped the city would lose its bid to rivals Tokyo, Madrid or Rio de Janeiro.
