Chicago 2016 Briefs Aldermen

Members of the Chicago 2016 organizing committee, including its Chairman Pat Ryan, briefed aldermen today on the status of the bid.  My colleague Crag Dellimore at City Hall reports that the committee presented a “Stewardship Report” that included information on expected benefits from the games, private sector financial support and expenditures so far.  Chicago 2016 also outlined the additional insurance mentioned in my previous blog post.  Some aldermen have been shakey in ther support of the 2016 bid …we’ll see if today’s meeting puts them at ease.
